Catholic doctrine has long taught that Mary is The Queen of Heaven, the specific personal reference of Song of Songs 6:10 and Revelations 12. Through analysis of the writings of Catholic saints such as St. Thomas Aquinas and St Augustine, a defense is made of an astrological interpretation of Mary's role as Mediatrix of All Graces. After the biblical exegesis, a presentation of the luminaries, planets, and zodiac signs familiar from pagan astrology are reinterpreted through a Christian, Marian lens, meant to inspire humility and conviction to discipleship through that self knowledge initiated by contemplation of the stars.
