"The Crossriders are a myth. They don't exist," the old man said. Jacob Michaels was frustrated as he looked at the old man he had gone to see after being told he knew the real truth. Dead bodies kept showing up with Crossrider coins on their chests or a Crossrider knife stuck in their heads. The clues were there, but never the actual hard proof they existed. The dead people were all bad guys, which was part of the legend. It was said they protected the innocent and carried out justice in a swift and violent way. Yet, no one could actually prove they were real. Jacob knew there was some truth in every legend, and when he found out his father who he had been told had died before he was born in a construction accident had in reality been a Crossrider, he finally had the proof he needed. Armed with this proof he struck out to get the whole story. What he found was something he could have never imagined.
