The Cross reflects the Throne: The Cross the Dividing Line

Paul emphasized the importance of the cross. 1 Co2:2 For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. The cross dominates the landscapemarked in the old and it''s significance was made clear when Moses lifted the serpent on the cross when the people died in the desert because of serpents biting them. This was picture of the human state. The cross became the lowest point that humanity ever reached, and because of love God turned it to be the greatest victory for humanity. The very nation that carried the mysteries through a system of worshipped was defiled and they tried to kill the creator, but God had His purposes set from the beginning and David prophesied about this day. Psalm 2: 1-7 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us. He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Everything in the Old pointed to the cross and everything after the cross is because of the cross. The Cross is the dividing line that brought forth the reformation and the separation between the old and the new. On the cross Christ died in total obedience and pai the price for sin. Christ Jesus tasted death for every man, but death could not hold Him. Rom 8:1-3 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: Daniel prophesied about the time of the cross and the court in heaven. Dan 7:9-10 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand ofthousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. John on Patmos revealed the what happened just before the cross and dealt with the removal of the Old that followed the cross. Rev 4:1-2 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard wasas it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. In Revelation five The Lion that became the Lamb describes the change that came with the crucifixion. Rev 5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Revelation 21 declares that what started on the cross was done and the Kingdom was now Functional.
