Derrick is a runaway. His motto is that the rich should share with the poor, especially here in Washington D.C. Hanging out on the corner, one sultry Friday night, he sees an old woman moving slowly down the block. Seeing that she is a street person, he wonders if he can get something for her cane. He readies his knife.

...Liza is a dressmaker in NYC. She dreams of becoming a designer, but they are just dreams. Waiting for a bus one night after a long day, Liza is approached by an old street woman, an old crone.

"A solitary life you lead, but it's not for you," the crone grumbles. "You will need to count on others to find your true happiness, ask once and you shall receive once," the Crone declares, and then continues, "Tell me, how many stitches do you stitch each day?"
