This book is a great starting point for industry insiders and laypeople alike, easily explaining the sometimes complicated world of Credit. As a University teacher (and former debt-ridden student) I can foresee great benefits to using Mr. Ritichie's book to help students starting out succesfully navigate through the pitfalls of establishing and maintaining responsible credit practices throughout their adult lives.

This is a great buy. This is the idiots guide to credit. It starts with the basics and goes from there. This is a must read for any person especially for college students and people already in deep credit.

I expected this book to be informative but dry. I was pleasantly surprised by the authors strong writing style that told an interesting personal story while teaching a finacial lesson I could easily implement in my own life. My hat is off to this author for a job well done. I got the financial education I was after but was surprised to find myself enjoying the read.

Patrick shares the in's and the out's of the personal credit field. He has done his research and found many pieces of pertinent information in regards to consumer credit such as composition of FICO score, how to improve your credit score, the relationship between mortgages and credit, examples of letters pertaining to credit, tests about credit, and much more. This is an easy to read text and should be implemented in all of the high school students' curriculums around the nation. If children knew more about credit, they would be in a better financial position. Mr. Ritchie has the appropriate background to provide accurate and helpful information to those undereducated. I appreciate his time and effort on this project.
Everyone Should Know This

I have just finished reading The Credit Road Map and I am about to re-read it with a highlighter in hand! This book is filled with knowledge that every consumer needs to understand. Patrick Ritchie tells it in a way that is informative and simplistic. Everyone who reads this book will be in a position to protect their credit and purchasing ability. This book should be taught in high school and college. I have just acquired six more copies to give to all of my adult children so they can start young to be financially responsible. The Credit Road Map is a quick and easy read and a great reference to keep handy!
