Everyday the battle of good and evil rages inside all of us. Our decisions shape the human being we become. However every decision is not so clear cut and sometimes doing the wrong thing, is essentially doing what's right. The Crawford is a coming of age story, based on the life events of an Irish Catholic Boy growing up in Cork City, Ireland. He went to Blarney Street Primary School and the North Monastery Secondary School, both all boys schools run by the Christian Brothers. He also served as an altar boy at Sunday's Well Church. He was a product of a society that was suffocated by Religious Autocratic power. While this had a profound effect on his life, he battled to escape his captivity. The Crawford College of Art opens his creative mind and allows him to battle his bleak reality. Derek finds his artistic voice and in the process frees his soul, explores love and faces the purpose of his existence. In life everything comes with a price.
