(please excuse some of the formatting on the ebook version the files have been formatted for print) Saint Joseph's Concordance Collection is pleased to have transcribed from the public domain work titled The Book of the Craft of Dying . The basis of the book has been derived from Frances M. M. Comper's translation published by Longmans, Green, and Co. in 1917 London UK. The original work dates back to the Medieval Ages which was tilted De arte Moriendi and had circulated in many different versions. This book offers a commendation of death, chapters dealing with the temptations faced by those nearing death, certain questions to ask those who are dying, prayers suitable for the dying and short instructions for those that shall die. I hope this book may be a resource to help us better prepare for death and assist our loved ones as they near the ends of their own respective lives. The modern mind is subjugated to many anti-Christian tendencies such as assisted murder (suicide) and the total forgetfulness of sin and final judgement. This book offers an old - but much refreshing outlook on how we can avoid temptation and unite our sufferings to those of Christ in our final days. The paragraph numbers have been added by myself as a way to reference the text. Passion Narrative and Little office of Saint Joseph are included at the end of the book.
