The Cowboy

Fantastic book! A must read book about the life of a real cowboy in modern times. It's about how the author overcame personal tragedies and setbacks, survived devastating weather conditions, plowed through financial crunches, was a visionary innovator in the livestock industry and persevered to lead a happy, successful and colorful life that holds the readers interest. Definitely a page turner. Hub Reichelt Littleton Colorado

This book is a real eye opener! It is a unique insight into the life of a dedicated cowboy, cattleman and rancher.

Wow, an incredible autobiography

It ia absolutely amazing and incredible that a couple such as they, have lived and survived such a life of turmoil, challenges, and personal tragedies in an environment of the 20th century USA. Rood took it upon himself to practise in his daily life in Colorado, all aspects of honesty and integrity, and therefore, to prove that these traits can lead to financial success. John Norris, Sun City West, AZ

The Cowboy

Very interesting story with a lot of historical details. A great read for the people of Northeastern Colorado and Western Nebraska, as they will know many of the people mentioned in the book. Great insights into agriculture during a time when advancements came rapidily to the industry. How exciting to have been a part of those changes and been able to stay on the cutting edge!

Real stories are the best

This is a real story of a cowboy's life in the American West. It would make a great documentary film or Hallmark theater presentation. False teeth for cows; who knew? Here's a man who cared about his livestock and battled the elements to keep them alive. D. Hild Ohio
