Couldn't have done a lot better.

Was very disappointed with this book, I have read many old regency books but this was my first Sandra Heath book and it will be my last, while the book itself was okay, not one of the better regencies by far but it may have been enjoyable but the main character Jenny is lacking, you don't like nor dislike her as there is nothing really to her, and I normally love the main females in these books, but she felt like a supporting character in her own book, but what did it for me was the fact she took the life of her own child and the child of supposedly the man she loves, I say supposedly as if she loved him as much as she claims she wouldn't have been able to do that, I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I feel others should know there is an abortion in it as to make the decision to read or not as had I known there is no way I would have bought or read this book. I've read around 60 or more Signet Regency by now and not one of them has had this so I was shocked and disgusted, not at all what I want in my romance books, you might expect modern books to have that since there is no shame anymore but not a book from 1980. What made it worse is that there was no reason for it at all to be in the story, and it was done so casually like it was nothing, they tried to make it seem like it was for the child that they were talking the life of when it wasn't at all, it never is. Even without this the book was lacking, her love for the main male is meant to be so great but early on in the story she was very ready to forget him with another man, just not wrote that well in my opinion, but obviously there is those who will enjoy this book but there are so many other regencies that are far better, why not read them instead of this one? I just thought I would let anyone know before purchasing.
