Great little book

I bought this book because I thought it looked like a cute story. I also have two corgis of my own that I love very much!! This is one of those books that can be enjoyed by a child or as an easy fun read for an adult (like me). I just loved the story and going on the adventure across an ocean with Ramsey and all the things he went through before he was finally a happy dog again. Very cute story!~

'Corgi' Review, March 2, 2006 Reviewer: Mary Bogumill Probably tiring of my incessant talking about my own Corgi, Enzo, my friend Ron brought me a copy of 'The Corageous Corgi'. At first I thought it might be a children's book but after reading it, I discovered that like 'Finding Nemo' and 'The Lion King', this story was written for the kid in all of us. The author believably puts the reader into the thoughts of the Corgi as he embarks on his adventure searching for a home. As the 'Mom' of a corgi, I realize that they are exceptionally smart animals and I truly believe that this little guy was smart enough to know what he wanted and determined to get it. He's a character that the reader roots for all the way. This book is very well written and illustrated and I would recommend it not only to dog lovers but anyone who wants to read an uplifting story of endurance and bravery. Although the hero is a dog, the lessons he learns are valuable to people. Like the author, I believe that I have learned a lot about 'human' nature from watching my dogs. The book is short and can be finished in an evening. You will, however, want to buy your own copy because it is definitely a story you will want to re-visit from time to time.

This book touches the heart of all ages who love dogs

This title is difficult to put down once I started reading about the little corgi from Wales and its struggle to find a secure home where it was welcomed. Reading this book is a must for those who love dogs, especially Corgis. The struggles of this little dog as it travels from Wales to the USA makes the reader realize the need to be good to "man's best friend."

The Courageous Corgi - An Animal Lover's must read!

Having just read The Corageous Corgi, I feel that this little book is both an easy and must read volume for all animal lovers. It is a tale of survival, hope, luck and finally the love of a pet for its owner and the owner's love for her pet. It is a happy, sad, happy book that is an easy read that can be accomplished in one sitting except for the youngest child. This book is the perfect stocking stuffer that accomplishes three goals: Getting children to read; Family entertainment; instill in each of us a love for our helpless friends.

The Courageous Corgi - A book for all Ages

This is one of the most delightful books I have read in a long time. The love and compasion Ms. Herrick has for her Corgi's just jumps out of the pages. I found myselft wanting to take the dog myself to make sure it had a good home before I found out what was going to happen later in the book. I found the book to be a very good read and once I started I couldn't put it down until I finished the book. Anyone who loves aninals will just love this book. I would even recommend it as one to be read aloud to the whole family. Let's hope this is not the last book for Ms. Herrick. Michael Bridgeville, DE
