My name is Declan Smith. I'm 16 years old, and I live in Fort Worth, Texas. The Coos of Heartbreak is a reflection of everything love has taught me so far-the good, the painful, and the parts we often try to forget.
Love is one of the most beautiful things we'll ever feel, but it's also one of the most dangerous. It has the power to build you up, and just as easily, to tear you apart. Through heartbreak, I've learned that loving someone is never a mistake, even when it hurts. It shapes you. It sharpens you. And if you let it, it can teach you how to stand back up when you've been broken down.
This book is not just about losing love-it's about surviving it. It's about learning that sometimes the most important kind of love is the love you find for yourself after everything else falls away.
Thank you for reading these pieces of my heart. If you've ever lost something you thought you couldn't live without, I hope you find a little light here-just like I did while writing it.
