The ordinary life of Mirko Paris, an Art History professor at a university in a small town at the foot of the Alps, is shattered by the sudden disappearance of his wife, the biologist Silvia Linder. Mirko is convinced that her disappearance is linked to a secret scientific mission in which Silvia had taken part years earlier. A cryptic operation aimed at deciphering signals of alien origin, the results of which were never clearly disclosed. Supported by the only person who believes in his obsessive theory, he decides to investigate. In doing so, he will have to delve into a deceptive vortex where elements of the past and present will intertwine, revealing an unpredictable scenario. He will himself become the missing piece of an indecipherable mosaic, discovering that he is part of a much greater plan.
