When a woman is murdered by a vampire, St. Augustina must become the Constable.

St. Augustina's tenure as the new constable of the Magic Guild Guard is not going well. The office staff quit in protest on her first day, the community regards her with suspicion, and now she has a vampire murder to solve-except no one will acknowledge her jurisdiction.

It's going to take a lot of work to prove she is the right person for the job. They may not want her, but she knows they need her, especially if she is going to solve this murder.
