"What is concealed, becomes a flower..."
(Old Noh saying.)
1960, Tokyo. A city trying to forget, and at the same time caught between tradition and a fast-arriving future.
Invited to an autumn leaf viewing party at the home of the famous Noh actor Kadokawa Kenzaburo by an old schoolfriend, Kyokichi Kishino, the rather scruffy-looking young bookseller from the city, is definitely the odd man out at this gathering of the elite of post-war Tokyo.
Yet he can see what others cannot, and when a chain of macabre and fantastic killings start, it isn't long before the police turn to him, once again, as a last hope to try stop them.
The first volume of the Kyokichi Kishino series.
