An absolute atrocity this book is out of print

When I first read the back cover of this book I thought "great, another psychological yuppie book where the protagonist has a terrible vanity complex," But the plot of this book is absolutely nothing compared to the way it was written. Bracewell's prose and vocabulary are so fluid and encompassing that the actual events of the book actually take a backseat to his writing style. The plot itself isn't about anything important, really, just one man's life. Not even a life that extrordinary in itself. Why do we care, then? Because the way Bracewell describes it. This is a highly innovative and enjoyable book solely because we want to hear the incredible ways Bracewell describes the scenes, and the poetry he spins as he plays with the diologue. Even the most played-out circumstances and diologue such as discussing a love between two characters are displayed richly and incredibly. This style makes the book formost enjoyable, and he could write about anything at all, really, and make it seem that way. sadly, I must be in the minority thinking this original way of writing is a pleasure to read for this book has been out of print for a while.
