I love this cookbook!

I received this book for Christmas awhile back but recently became reacquainted with it. I have been cooking for years, but I go to this cookbook when I want to make something new and different. Everything I've made from this cookbook has been greeted with rave reviews! The Ultimate Chippers chocolate chip cookies have become my standard, and I am always asked for the recipe when I make them. The step-by-step instructions are accompanied with photos, which I find very helpful. I have many cookbooks, but this one is by far my favorite and most used!

Novice Cooks Rejoice!, Experienced Cooks - Have Fun!

This cookbook is truely a great cookbook for the novice cook just getting their feet wet. For the experienced cook it's fun to find something new and interesting to cook, especially when company is coming to dinner.The book has simple easy to follow instructions for the novice, with pictures to help demonstrate. Each section has classnotes giving helpful tips. There are "Techniques" scattered throughout the book, that help the novice learn, and the experienced cook refresh their memory. There is a great section dedicated to "Garnishes". Again, this helps the novice to learn new skills and techniques, as well as help the experienced cook learn new tricks, or simply refresh old techniques.Last but not least is a wonderful section dedicated to "Holiday Recipes".For the novice - after learning out of this cookbook, your family and friends will think you cook like a pro! This book is definitely a confidence builder.All in all this is a really wonderful cookbook. It's a great book to give to the bride, or college student, just starting out, or an experienced cook looking for new and interesting recipes to spice up their usual faire.Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
