Good book for recruiters looking to start their own business

This book is great for recruiters who are just getting into the business. I noticed that someone else wrote that it wasn't useful for those who have been in the business for a long time. Well, if you read the back cover and the overview of the book, it clearly states that it is for beginners, not for experienced recruiters. I too have noticed a few typos in the book. I emailed the publisher and the author and was informed that those typos were the publishers error and they have corrected them and are reprinting the new books in late June, 2001. Therefore, I don't feel that those errors should reflect on this authors reputation. I have read several recruiting columns and articles written by her and it is obvious that she has been in this business a long time and knows her stuff. I have read this book twice and can honestly say that it rescued me from my full-time recruiting job and most importantly, helped me to start my own recuiting business from home. Goes to show that this book was written for the novice recruiter or for the person wanting to start their own recruiting business instead of working for someone else. Those "experienced" corporate recruiters would have no use for this book. However, to us "Novice" recruiters, this book is a blessing in disguise!

Charrissa Cawley has really done it this time. She has combined all her experience and knowledge into this one easy to read, easy to understand, and most practical training guide to all recruiters looking to get off to a great start in the industry. Her insight into the industry is invaluable and tips magical. I would recommend this book to anyone in the recruiting industry new or experience. It's money well spent. I would of easily paid two or three times the money for the knowledge and research spent in the book. The resources and innovative ideas presented in the book was very refreshing.
