Comprehensive book for the ESS fan.

This interesting book covers a broad range of topics and also gives an international perspective of the breed (from the English point of view, naturally). Well illustrated with some drawings and many photos but these are all black and white and give an outdated feel to the book. This is enhanced by some quaint text such as "a lady...with a billowing skirt". However, despite appearing slightly old fashioned, I'd recommend this book as a useful addition to the home library. After all, Springers are Springers, their merry dispositions remaining unchanged over the generations.
