Really Good Cookbook, With or Without A Blender!

In 1980 my husband and I got married and someone gave us a blender for a wedding gift. My husband said he already had a blender and that there was even a cookbook that had come with it. I was surprised that an entire cookbook came with his blender, but I was even more surprised when I started trying some of the recipes. They were accurate and delicious! They were so good, I found myself making them even without the blender. One of our favorite recipes is the one for banana bread. This is the best banana bread recipe we have ever tried. I tweak it a little, reducing the fat and substituting a little honey for the sugar to keep it moist, but it is still a great recipe. The sauces and dressings are easy to follow and taste the way they are supposed to, and even the popover recipe comes out exactly right. Our family has been using this cookbook since 1980. We have had to have it spiral bound to keep it from totally falling apart, but it is used regularly and often.
