This is an invitation to journey with Christ and reach His heart with ours. It begins with a call and a wooing; it becomes a connection. It's a journey of intimacy and the destination is friendship with God.

The Holy Spirit spent years unravelling the knots to separate the lies and unbelief from the truth, searching for the treasure He knew had been placed inside of me by the Father. It was He who began to reveal the gold within. The truth is that the Father has placed treasure inside every human heart, that includes you and me.

As we allow His passion to consume us, we surrender in bliss and bring Him pleasure. This is our greatest calling and destiny, to bring bliss to the Great Almighty. We can move the heart and gaze of God by responding in passion to His passion for us.

About the Author

Jane Gibbs is a contemporary Christian artist living in the West Country of England with her family and dog, Edgar. Saved in 1986 in London, she has spent her adult life pursuing and being pursued by the Lover of her soul. She is a woman after God's heart, a passionate lover of Jesus and a fierce lover of those God brings to her. Her creative soul longs to show the heart of God to others, carrying the authentic, raw and undiluted love of Jesus. She has been forged in the fire of His Presence and her scars have been kissed by the King. After spending many years as a prophetic singer and intercessor, God called her to communicate her expression of His voice through art and poetry, yet her highest calling is to live a life surrendered to the King of kings. The Company of Laid Down Lovers is her first publication and describes her journey with the Lord to find her true identity and destiny.
