The Communist League is a hard-hitting novel-essay that narrates a group of revolutionaries willing to do anything to impose the personal perspectives of their members on the world. It exposes the educational, moral and political deficiency, the hegemony of leftist thought in Brazilian schools and universities, which indoctrinates, perverts language, promotes intellectual and sexual vagrancy, and destroys the authority of parents and the Catholic Church to culminate in the formation of a generation of "useful idiots" to communism without them realizing it.
The book attacks the problem through ridicule and expository satire, the characters pretend to defend communism when, in fact, they defend their own vices.
Written from the author's irreducible and prejudiced perspective, it aims to promote explicit and vehement mockery, mockery and derision against ideologies. The author uses a technique of negative exposure therapy by exposing what ideologies do to the human soul and, in parallel, direct positive exposure.
We follow the trajectory of Cl udia Monteiro, a history teacher tormented by her past, and Eduardo, a Portuguese teacher in search of limitless freedom. United by leftisms and financed by corrupt politicians, they form the core of the Communist League with the aim of using education as a weapon to indoctrinate young people, subvert morals and sow social chaos.
The novel directly exposes the gears of a power project that feeds on lies, class hatred and the degradation of the most elementary values.
In the midst of this whirlwind of foolishness, dissonant voices emerge such as that of student Sanoi and teacher Veronica, who, after tasting the poison of ideologies, seeks redemption and a light in truth. The Communist League is a provocative and necessary work that questions the direction of education, the nature of fanaticism and the price of blind submission to any ideal.
