The Commune of Foumban in Decentralized Cooperation

By its definition, the commune or decentralized territorial community is understood as all persons under public law. It enjoys administrative and financial autonomy for the management of regional and local interests. That said, in the logic of decentralization, the commune remains the dismemberment of the state. It is the crucible of the economic and socio-cultural development of its locality and its citizens. This work entitled: "The commune of Foumban in the decentralized cooperation", comes to beat a certain opinion which lets believe that the commune is a retirement home. Foumban, capital of the Bamoum kingdom with ancestral traditions and strong customs dating back some 600 years, is entering the modern era with the establishment of the commune. The commune of Foumban has been directed since its creation until 1996 by the monarch of the Bamoum kingdom who was also the mayor of this commune. From 1996 to the present day, the commune is run by an opposition political party with the return of multiparty politics.
