This is a complex tale of betrayal, revenge, and finally love. Seth McCullough, a powerful and influential man, meets Maggie Heaton, a beautiful and talented young woman whose sad life is disguised... This description may be from another edition of this product.
THE COLOR OF REVENGE is not one of your typical storylines - it's totally different in the the fact that there are so many characters - and you get to know each and every one of them intimately. I loved that. The story was a difficult one to tell, but the author managed to do it beautifully. It's the story of a man that loses his wife and child in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. But there's more to the story - and the writer builds and builds until you know everything - or you think you do. Basically, it's about forgiveness. Your are faced with the irony of what possessed the drunk driver and it really hits home for Seth, the hero. Maggie's (the herioine) story is also a little different in the fact that she deals with psychological demons that still haunt her from her childhoold. This only adds to the complex storyline. When the two meet, it's like lightening striking. They go on an adventure some of us only dream about. Wealth, tragedy, love - it's all there. It's a long book, but it is well worth the time to read it. Once you start you can't seem to put it down. I will add that it does have explicit lovemaking, but I found it very tastefully done.
It don't get any better than this!

I truly enjoyed this adventure. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I was sad when it was over, I could have stayed with this host of characters forever. I loved the story line, not sure where we were going next but really enjoyed the journey. I can't wait to read another book by this author. Bravo, Millicent Hart, and thank you.
It was so good that when I finished it I read it again!

I bought this book after reading all of the reviews - I read every single one of them. Then I went to the writer's website and checked that out too (just pull up Millicent Hart). The reviews there were excellent also. Now I said to myself, "Come on, no book is that good. There's got to be something in the book that I won't like." Well, there wasn't. I loved this book. I just wish that I could spend the time to tell you all abaout it, but I will tell you this - a great plot (different), great characters, and suspense. And, oh yeah, the great, great love scenes. The writer was very creative in her descriptions of everything (characters, scenes, sex, etc.) so that you feel that you are experiencing everything with them. A very well thought-out storyline that you won't lose interest in halfway through the book. And believe it or not, I read it again. It's just what I needed to take my mind off things - I escaped to where love takes precedence over everything else.
Excellent - Excellent - Excellent!

Needless to say, I loved this book. The writer took a great deal of time and care to develop the characters and make them believeable. She has a talent for capturing you immediately, pulling you along on an adventure that tugs at your heart. What an extraordinary writer Ms. Hart is, that she can weave several plots throughout, and keep your interest, and make you want to know more and more. These were some of the hottest love scenes I've read in a while - be sure to keep an ice-cold glass of water handy to put out the flames. A must for your summer reading list.

This is a great book! I started reading on a Thursday afteroon and had finished it by Friday evening. It is a book you cannot put down. Ms. Hart has built a world of characters that you just fall in love with. Seth and Maggie are the ultimate lovers and you don't know what will happen to them until the very last page. Wow. It kept me on pins and needles until the end. Great book for the beach. I highly recommend this for summer reading.
