Must Read!

It's difficult to believe a full-time working, single mother of two teens and one big dog could find the time to write an entire book -but this is exactly what Michele has done. If you're looking for a good story that you'll never forget, I recommed this book.

Very Gripping Book...

Abigail Winchester owns a neat little antique shop in the small town of Somerset, Kentucky. Her life is going well and she is quite satisfied with the way things are until, as her Grandfather is passing away, he implores her to find a tin box. Inside that box is a secret letter that will rock Abigail's world, as she knows it, to the very core. What should she do about the knowledge her Grandfather has passed on to her in this letter? Family secrets are uncovered that not only concern her life but could change the lives of several other people, some very close to her and some almost totally unknown. Abigail's world is in a turmoil and she is contemplating what to do about these secrets when the complications triple. A handsome man named Ben walks into her store and informs her that both her house and her store are about to be sold. She must find not only a place to live, but a place to relocate her business-her very livelihood. What will she do now? Ben, the stranger bearing this bad news, quickly becomes the one person she despises most in all the world. So why does she feel an attraction to the one man she should now hate beyond all others? Abigail must rely on her strong faith to help her make these decisions that will affect her life and the lives of others forever. The Collector by Michele Galindez was a very gripping book that held this reader's attention from page one. Her dilemmas and the way she handled them was inspiring. This was a book I would gladly lend and recommend to others. © 2006 MyShelf.com Susan Johnson, Reviewer

Allbooks Review

"Find the tin box." These are Grandpa's haunting last words to Abigail, and at first they mystify her. But a tin box soon turns up among Grandpa's belongings, and inside there's a letter: "I have to explain something I did a long time ago..." Abigail wishes that she hadn't uncovered this unsuspected family secret. What to do with her new knowledge? Life becomes still more complicated when Ben walks into Abigail's antiques store. Abigail is immediately enchanted by the golden flakes in his emerald eyes, but mysterious Ben brings devastating news. Abigail's house and store are about to be sold, and she must find a new home for both herself and her business. What should Abigail do? Can her eccentric and frail supplier Antique Hamilton really help her? And why does she feel so drawn to Ben, even though he's representing the enemy? Abigail's strength comes from God, and biblical words of "plans to give you hope and a future" encourage her as she struggles with these issues. Michele Galindez lives in Ohio with her two sons and their dog, and "The Collector" is her first novel. The story is full of love: God's love, Abigail's love for a golden Labrador called Bronie, and the love that binds together an extended family despite the failings of its members. Reading this book is like discovering a long-searched-for antique treasure. It's guaranteed to broaden your smile and brighten your day!
