Book Overview

In a world where success is measured by money and where anxiety, pressure, ulcers, and stress are as common as gray flannel suits, Charles Swindoll brings home some good news: you can find joy, peace, and happiness in the struggle In Living on the Ragged Edge, Swindoll shows how to enjoy life which is the bottom line of reality for everyday living. Learn how to survive the rat race; how to be "bullish"; how to find wisdom; how to make the most of old age - essentially, find out how to stop existing and start living. Proceeding to the next step, Living Above the Level of Mediocrity encourages the commitment to excellence that should follow, as Swindoll boldy tackles the difficult problems of self-discipline, laziness, and the tendency to accept less of life than we deserve. This motivational collection proves that moral, personal, and ethical excellence is worth whatever it costs.

A great book to grow in faith and spirituality .

Connecting with the lessons of the Bible is very difficult in this secular world. The "Collected Works" gives the reader, who is searching for spiritual connectivity, a systematic approach to understanding the true message of the Scriptures. When comparing the comments of, Charles Swindoll, with Scripture content, the understanding that we do not have to sacrifice ourselves to be true to Gods word finally comes to light. Living a fruitful and happy life can be realized when proper understanding, and pratice of guidlines boundaries, as give in Scripture are adopted. I have read the hard copy. I also know that separate publishings of the works are available. I am trying to add this volume to my cherished collections and would like to see the works published once again in a two volume hardcopy.Thank you: hank@diver.mv.com
