Abused as a child in Indiana, Alexander runs away at age thirteen and ends up in Chicago. He is taken in by an Italian family and raised as their nephew "Jacob". Five years later a drunk driver kills Angelo, the patriarch of the Italian family. The driver is sentenced to eight years in prison but is released in five. Jacob turns vigilante and decides to handle the matter of revenge himself and kills the drunk driver. Now, on the run, Jacob moves to St. Louis to begin a new life. He changes his name to Maxwell, meets his soul mate Bekka, and is inducted into an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. Through the new city, the new people and the coincidences from his past and present, he finds his destined profession, a mixed martial arts champion and meaning in his life.
