Hundreds of years from now, six, continent-sized, utopian collectives are almost all that's left. Each collective has its own unique laws, technology, and ways of living, and most of the world is now a much better place.

In Collective 2, a traditionally designed collective but with quite liberal attitudes, Elise and Andrew Rowan have built themselves the perfect life in leafy Newford. They have great careers, great friends, and a lovely home. The only thing missing is a baby, which is the next thing on their agenda.

However, life in Collective 2 is not as perfect as it seems, even for the most admired couple in town. There are skeletons in every closet, and Elise's place in society requires her to keep her past indiscretions from re-emerging, which until now hasn't been too much of a problem. When her friend Antonia curiously treads in Elise's footsteps, it's more than everyone's place in society that ends up in danger.
