The Coalition: Shadows of the Past

For years, the Coalition's Law Enforcement Directorate has struggled to control the flow of Hype, a highly addictive narcotic capable of increasing the average being's strength, endurance, and agility nearly two hundred percent. Now the techniques that once kept the distribution of the drug by the nefarious Sovereign Nation at bay have become ineffectual and Hype addiction is on the rise.

To counter the crisis, the Coalition's Ruling Board forms the Shadows, a Parahuman strike force charged with the task of stopping the Nation by any means necessary; be it legal or otherwise. Chosen to lead this controversial squad is Daynya Renn, a Directorate officer with a keen intellect, sharp tongue, and a devastating telekinetic touch. To assist in the training of her team, Daynya enlists the aid of Tavian Stone; a Lieutenant in the Directorate's Troubleshooter Division determined to atone for his mistakes on a mission that ended in tragedy.

The team's effectiveness is quickly put to the test when Stone's arch-rival, Sovereign Tizian Sterva, sets in motion an audacious scheme that, if successful could alter the course of History itself.
