This is the story of a man whom abandons his previous life to chase after his parents, who disappeared when he was young. He wanders out of his home, New Bastion, and into the world outside, looking for Acadomis. A place that once regularly made contact with New Bastion, only to stop one day. Everyone was sure he would die, consumed by the mythical shadows that prowl the world outside. Though he almost died, he was saved by a member of an organization calling themselves the Coachmen. From then on, his life was forever changed. Having to discover for himself what a good person is, who he is, and what he wants out of life as he meets many people along the way.
