This story is set in the early 1950s when three children. Julie, Lucas and Jed find themselves having to go on a journey. The children's Grandmother has sent tickets for a coach to take the children to stay with her in Scotland for a while, to enable the children to have a holiday. All seems fine... initially, but as they get to the north borderlands between England and Scotland, problems occur. The coach tyre has a blow out, the weather changes and a storm sets in. The children are lost, wet and hungry. There is trouble about and all is not as it seems. Something is a miss with the driver and the whole coach of passengers is in peril. This is a journey of strength, mystery, determination, teamwork and friendship. Could an old lady save the day? Can a sewing machine be transformed? Will the children make it to their Grandmother?
