Such a heartfelt journey full of friendship, courage and resilience🥰

One of the things I love about YA is how comforting they are. I always feel like I’m learning something crucial when I’m reading one of those genres and that’s how I feel when I started reading this one (which I borrowed from the Little Free Library near me). The introduction of the children seemed to remind me of other classics such as Anne of Green Gables (Hannah reminded me of this one) and The Pied Piper (Guiseppe reminded me of this one because of the instrument he finds). This book wrapped up nicely in my opinion and every question I ever had was answered. Things I thought were predictable weren’t. I loved this. This is well written in my eyes. I thoroughly enjoyed this and I didn’t want to put it down. I sympathized with each character except for Stephano who was both a tyrant and a bully. All in all, I love a heartwarming YA like this; comforting with friendship that also shows the struggles of living on the street and the simplicities of home. I highly recommend this.
