The Climb To Significance: When Success is Not Enough

"This book helps you think through why it matters to shift your focus from success to significance-and how to do it."
- Todd Hopkins
Founder & CEO, Strategic Thinking Network - Founder & Executive Chairman, Office Pride -
International Best-Selling Author

RE-AIM YOUR SUCCESS TOWARD WHAT LASTS.

"The real trap isn't failure-it's spending your one life building something impressive that never becomes enduring."

You hit the goal. The company is growing. You're more secure-and yet something in you didn't move. Under the applause, a low hum persists: Is this it? Does any of this really matter?

Success can get loud, but it can't answer the deeper questions. And the danger isn't falling short-it's climbing higher on the wrong mountain.
Legacy is what remains when you're gone. Significance is how you live-and who you build-while you're here.

The Climb to Significance is a roadmap for business owners, executives, and leaders who've arrived-and are ready to re-aim. With practical prompts, tools, and small steps, you'll rebuild alignment between what you value and what your life proves.

Inside, you'll build a Significance Framework that will:
- change how you decide-what gets your yes (and what doesn't)
- change how you schedule-so your calendar proves what you value
- change how you define purpose-so it becomes something you live
- change how you lead-by building people while you build results

If you feel the hum, you're not alone. Start now-and begin the climb.

Josh Howard is the founder and Managing Principal of Bluefin Capital Advisors and a partner at Cor Leo Advisors. A Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), he has trained over 3,000 executives, business owners, and leaders and advised hundreds of organizations.

An operator and serial entrepreneur, Josh has founded, acquired, and exited more than ten businesses and led manufacturing and distribution platforms in 90+ countries on six continents. He's lived the pressure behind the titles-and brings hard-won clarity to the tradeoffs, fear, and quiet drift that often hide beneath "success."

This book was born from a question he couldn't shake: What if you win at things that don't really matter? Shaped early by watching his father run a small business for more than forty years, Josh believes character and stewardship matter more than applause. Through humanitarian mission work, mentoring college students, and investing in his community, he calls leaders to pursue significance-measured not by what they gain, but by what they give.

Josh lives in Florida's Tampa Bay area with his wife and their two daughters. Josh is still on the climb-learning, realigning, and choosing significance one decision at a time.
