I read only a few chapters before I went to bed, but when I awoke the next morning immediately my mind was filled with images of deep woods, and I was gripped with a need to know what became of this fugitive mother and her etheral son. I found myself turning page after page flowing through the lean, haunting prose relentlessly seeking resolution, relief from the pressure which builds almost languidly to its unbearable pitch.
