Timely and Disturbing

Rabasa's provocative novel contrasts the well-ordered life of a San Diego area doctor with his untamed days as a medical student in México City. The juxtaposition of violence, poverty, and sweat with the cool, clean, Crate-and-Barrel life is timely and disturbing. Well worth reading!

Compelling!

This book contains complex characters and relationships, and it features a flawed hero and an all too human villian. Its unpredictable plot twists involve secrets and revenge. Absolutely beautiful writing!
