The properties of minerals are studied under their corresponding subdivisions, namely chemical mineralogy, physical mineralogy, and crystallography. The properties and classification of individual minerals, their localities, their formation and use are studied under descriptive mineralogy. The identification according to chemical, physical and crystallographic properties is called determinative mineralogy. In this collection we will address the question of their geochemical evolution particularly in arid regions.
