The Clash of the Toastmasters: A Novel by

By Doug Moody

The Clash of the Toastmasters is the latest intriguing novel from the pen of Australia's very own Doug Moody, a colossus of the Commonwealth. Blake Winton is back for another round of adventures with his eclectic mix of oddball friends and foes. On this occasion Mick Firko is having strife with his clapped out Goggomobil and his trusty fishing boat. Meanwhile poor Andrew Paglia will rue the day that he ever encountered the dope smoking Stacey Swansong, an opinionated and eccentric American woman with delusions of grandeur and the patience of a monkey. The arrival of the Iron Girdle means that every male has an unseen enemy lurking in the wings. The men of society have become the target of a demented and hate filled mob in a world where political correctness has gone badly wrong. No male will be immune to the onslaught. The Steam Punks bring it on for young and old alike with a worldwide Toastmasters challenge, and we are left wondering if Blake and his friends can finally rise to the top of the slag heap.
