The City Ever Green

written and illustrated by Bonnie Paruch

This inspirational and vividly illustrated book for children is about nature, children who loved a tree and the restoration of a city's wild spaces.

Empowering and positive messages about ecology and our natural world make this a perfect book for any child who loves to play in the park and walk in the woods.

The story begins in a great forest where people and nature live in harmony. As time passes a small town becomes a major city and the forest disappears.

When urban development threatens their only neighborhood park and the last Oak tree standing, a group of children take action.

They inspire their community as they plant, clean up and begin to restore their neighborhood woods. As residents work together, the city becomes green again with community gardens, tiny forests and rehabilitated walking trails. The City Ever Green is a reminder that where ever a child lives, in the city or country, they are a part of a web of life, connected to each other and to nature. It is a great gift for the budding naturalist and inquisitive child in your life.
