The Circle of Valstan

Jonathan Jackson expected nothing more than a fun-filled summer break-until one harmless prank earns him a week of the worst punishment imaginable: extra chores.

What starts as a lesson quickly turns into something far more dangerous when Jonathan uncovers truths that shatter his ordinary life. As a lost prince, he is tied to an ancient prophecy, one that foretells the salvation-or destruction-of both the mortal and immortal worlds. With newfound magic he barely understands, Jonathan is thrust into a hidden realm of faeries, dark elves, and powerful forces long at war.

Standing in his way is Malgroth, a ruthless elf determined to seize control of both worlds. As Jonathan is drawn deeper into a perilous quest, he must navigate betrayal, forge uneasy alliances, and decide whether he is willing to accept the role destiny has chosen for him. If he fails, both realms will fall under a tyrant's rule.

Set in a world of magic and myth, The Circle of Valstan is the first book in Mark David Lindquist's YA fantasy series, Wardens of the Worlds. Perfect for readers who enjoy fast-paced adventure, coming-of-age heroes, and mythical creatures, this story delivers an unforgettable journey into a realm where courage and choice shape the fate of worlds.

Binge Worthy Book!

I absolutely loved this book! The story was interesting and fast-paced, I read it in one day! The plot was intriguing, the book well written, and the characters hilarious. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves fantasy!

My latest and greatest fantasy read!

I really enjoyed this fantasy adventure book over break. I got really into the world and ended up reading it in three days! It is fast-paced with deep characters and an interesting magic system. The writing style is similar to The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit, and John Flanagan and the fantasy type is similar to Julie Kagawa and Holly Black. It's young adult fantasy genre but this is a book anyone can enjoy. Highly recommended!
