'The Church Cookie Caper' has an unusual, fast-moving plot which will keep the reader absorbed. It's unusual too, because in it, religion, romance, humor and middle-class Americana- which could make it a collectible- are intertwined. It also has some vernacular misspellings which can whet the appetite of language aficionados and challenge international students in a fun way. "Encouraged by their pastor, two spinsters make cookies for the C.I.A. When an agent keels over after eating them, the old ladies become terrorist suspects. Especially since actual terrorists have been detected in the area. The real terrorists are waylaid by a 'funny farm' bus and one of the two agents sent in female disguise to investigate the spinsters, falls for the church's cute Activities Director while the other falls victim to a matchmaking mother seeking a wife for her nerdy son.
