Overthinking has become a part of our lives. Daily we worry about our families, jobs, finances and especially for those who are single, they worry about what they will eat and drink. There have been lots of remedies made known to the world about anxiety and how to manage it, but really, do people who battle anxious thoughts have the peace of mind which they so much desire? Clement Eastwood believes that the peace of God is truly possible to have. This book is not to point to the author, but to point to Christ. The author does not hold the solution to anxiety in his hands, he only exists to direct you to the one Person who has the solution and gives freely to all who come to Him. He said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:17) Clement Eastwood believes many readers of this book have read other books already about how to cure anxiety but have seen little success. He is certain that the believer ought to believe and depend on the word of God and in them, He shall find success. I will not say I am completely anxiety free. There are times I've fallen into the dark endless pit of anxiety that has made me cry tears of pain, but in the end, I cling to the promises of my LORD God. I shall leave you with this quote from Spurgeon: "The ultimate aim is not to escape anxiety but to allow it to usher us into the healing presence of Jesus Christ." The LORD is your strength, fellow believer.
