"Julafton, or Christmas Eve, the 24th of December, is when Swedish Christmas is primarily observed. A Christmas brunch of some form traditionally kicks off the day. Then, a lot of people watch "Kalle" or Disney's Christmas at 3 o'clock (from Kalle Anka, meaning Donald Duck). So did we, but this time we served champagne and Skagen mix on Finnish rye crisps instead of gl?gg (mulled wine) and gingerbread cookies.
