Anthony Scott Higginbotham was born in 1968 in Dallas, Texas. At the age of nine, he was adopted by the Methodist Children's Home in Waco, Texas, until he was thirteen, when he was adopted into the Lockett Children's Home. Growing up, he loved reading comic books, which led him to write his own stories and even poetry. Falling in love with words and the promise they held for anything was possible, Scott grew up and created a family of his own-a wonderful wife and three beautiful kids. Scott wrote stories for his kids that their mother would read to them every night. Scott now resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he has lived for thirty-five years. The Christmas Mouse Story was the very first story he wrote for his kids.
