The Christian Journey: From Skeptic to Unwavering Faith

This small book is a clear, concise, and direct outline of the Christian Journey of faith. It is not complete, nor was it meant to be. Its objective is to touch all the bases, to more or less expose a person to what they will meet along the way as they travel the path that Jesus and His Apostles, as well as the prophets of old, have been pointing the way toward for hundreds, indeed thousands, of years.
Instead of chapters, the book uses STOPS, like one would encounter on any journey. STOP 1 addresses the question of does God exists. It presents facts about creation, and is followed in STOP 2 with fulfilled prophecy . . . Like Isaiah prophesying the decree written by King Cyrus allowing the second temple to built in Jerusalem over 200 years before Cyrus was born.
With that foundation laid, STOPS move from knowledge and belief to faith; from faith to confidence; from confidence to trust, from trust to peace and the development of Godly character and behavior.
STOP 10, Applications of Faith, is in a sense a "payoff" stop. It lists 20+ specific human problems or issues (illness, loneliness, grief, depression, guilt, sin, weariness, etc., etc.) and gives you specific scriptures and comments on how to confront and/or manage them. Again, these comments are brief, but they will point you in the direction you need to go to get additional information and insight.
STOP 12, the final stop, is a one page, but exciting, glimpse into the future Kingdom of God . . . The ultimate destination of this Journey and the reason we have chosen to travel it!
In closing, I must make two admissions. First, I began writing this for myself as writing so much on the Law and Prophecy had caused me to wander off the path of the Journey, and I felt I needed a boost. And I am pleased to say writing it seems to be helping me refocus. Secondly, I had AI assist me with some of the commentary inside and a fair amount of it I used. And I must admit that it irks me that he (it) often writes better than I do!
