Reading the Bible's three missonary journeys of Paul leave much unexplained. The so-called third journey is the subject of this book. It called for Paul and his team to work in a Greek environment somewhat foreign to their background Jewish thinking. The mission team was now in Europe. The environment is different that in the mideast, even though Paul was raised in Antioch in Asia Minor. Chances are that he kept to himself in that city and kept company with his kosher friends. He had a Jewish environment and was unfamiliar with the subtleties of Gentile daily life. What a challenge. But he managed it. The Christian Invasion of Europe takes the text in Acts and surrounds it with the milieu of Greek background. Credit Paul with learning quickly. Credit his further for using Stoic and Epicurean philosophy to shape his own message. So we follow him from Neapolis in Macedonia until he finishes his work in Rome.
