We do not like to talk about death but the subject is unavoidable. It is still true that 100% of us will die but neither the frequency nor the inevitability of death makes it any easier for us. We try to avoid the sting of death by talking about people passing away, departing this life, going to their eternal reward, meeting one's maker, or shuffling off this mortal coil. We also have multiple ways to deal with death once it occurs. The most common method of dealing with our deceased is burial. However, more and more people today are choosing the alternative method of cremation. How should Christians think about death and the disposition of our bodies? Is burial the only option? Is cremation a viable alternative for the believer?
