The Pentagon is undertaking the biggest endeavor ever in its history, building the Joint Strike Fighter jet, also known as the F-35 Lightning II. As the milestones keep being missed, the Department of Defense is forced to step in and take a more active part in pushing the program along.The next milestone fast approaching and in jeopardy of being missed is the live weapons test for the F-35 jet. So Ann Redmond is sent to investigate the poor performance from one of the subcontractors, Launcher Weapon Systems. But Ann's report never makes it to the desk of her boss. Agent Stan Pruett from the US Department of Homeland Security is sent to investigate. As the evidence mounts, the case moves from open and shut to something much more sinister. Will Agent Pruett be able to make sense of it all in time or will national security be compromised in ways the Pentagon never imagined?
