The Cherry Tree is Blossoming contains the selected letters, journals, poems, journals, fictions, and drama of the widely-regarded writer and playwright Richard "McCarthy" Coyle. Starting as a newspaper man at the Daily News in NYC, before moving on to a Stanford University fellowship, and eventually writing plays and journalism as an independent writer, Richard produced, over his lifetime, an extraordinarily candid record of his equally extraordinarily life. He long maintained an anchorage in Missoula, Montana, before passing away in 2006. This book was compiled from his archives by his nephew, John D. Wagner.
