This is a story about a greedy, narcissistic cat and an adventurous and hungry field mouse.

The story revolves around a freshly baked cherry pie that both of them find irresistible.

The baker is irate when she discovers that her pie has been contaminated by a rodent, and discards the pie in the trash can along with the mouse.

The mouse narrowly escapes being captured by the neighbourhood owl, but eventually the cat catches up with him.
