Daniel Young is a young man who is entering upon the best years of his life. He is a college track athlete, engaged to be wed soon, enjoying all the good things in life. Suddenly his dream world is shattered through a tragic incident. He finds himself in unfamiliar territory, pushed into doing things he had never dreamed of. Unaided and completely alone, he does what must be done, and leaves all hope of a normal life in the past. Along the way he must determine who he can trust. As he struggles with coping through the tragic event that changed his life, he has to battle both evil and good forces alike. The one who has caused all of this, seems to escape the law and starts to put together the life he can now never have. With the good forces turning their attention towards him, he must step cautiously across a narrow path full of potholes. Though all of this, he becomes known by good and bad alike as the cheetah.
