$9.95 for an 86 page novella seems a wee bit pricey. However, L. Ron Hubbard's style in this and his other reprints is so absurdly excessive and over-written that it is an addictive guilty pleasure. (Especially guilty if you realize that he is the founder of Scientology.) If you seek out old pulp novels and magazines, you will not only recognize the style, but in some cases the plots - some of which have been lifted whole from early 20th century fiction. 1940's Ketchikan, Alaska in definitely an original setting. This story is a great mystery. This audio book held my interest to the end. I never knew who to trust, who was alive, or who was going to end up sleeping with the fish. Mr. Hubbard was a master of his craft. As always the work done in the studio was superb.
